Android 365: Day Fifteen

This post is out of order... just like yesterday's I think. You see I took a picture that maybe only a parent would love and I posted it to the blog. I was going to call it good for today. Then I got to feeling bad that it didn't look like anything more than any old snapshot. So, after we got home and were hanging out on the deck, I decided to try and get some better images. I still kept with the theme of Liam for today. You'll see the original post at the bottom of today's entry.

Ok, so to many of you this may be nothing special... but to me, this little guy is one of the most important things in my life. Plus, he's really cute!

We just finished shopping and he picked himself out a new train, clutched in his right hand, and he's ready to open the garage door as soon as we arrive back home. I just thought he looked especially cute, so I decided to make him Day Fifteen, even though the photo is nothing particularly fanastic :-)

Android 365: Day Fourteen

Alright so this is kind of a botched post. I took the sky picture earlier in the day and thought I was done. Then I was playing around with the slinky and decided I liked these photos better so I posted them first. Forgive the out of order post!

Happy Friday!!!

I took this and some others at the mid-point of my run today. There's a nice small lake here in Baldwin that's a good running destination. The other photos are having some problems uploading. Hopefully, they'll work their way through the air waves by the end of the day.

Android 365: Day Thirteen

Can't text while driving... does taking pictures while driving fall into the same category?

Android 365: Day Twelve

Easter's on it's way, so I figured I'd do a little one on one with our Faberge Egg. It's hand-carved... out of, uhhhh some kind of wood aaaaaannnd.... painted! As you may be able to tell, I am an expert in these matters. Need to know anything about Faberge Eggs? Just ask ME and I'll Google it for you ;-)

Anyways, I like this little egg and it seemed the Droid did as well. I've been trying to take some close-up shots of other things and was getting a fair amount of grain in the photos. I didn't like them, hence their absence on the blog.

I did like these however. Hopefully, you do too.

Android 365: Day Eleven

I struggled a little bit today. I tried some more difficult things in the morning, pretty much like yesterday, and the results (again) weren't favorable. Then as I was walking outside there was this small bush of bright yellow flowers embracing what sun they could get from the dreary sky. They were set against a huge tree that has a little more recovering to do from the extended winter, but I thought they looked pretty neat juxtaposed against one another.

Android 365: Day Ten

After some failed photos earlier and a really busy day, I got this on my way home from a photo-shoot.

Day Ten... In Progress

So we've made it to the double digits. So far so good. I'm enjoying this project and the feedback I've gotten from it. Thanks for your support and comments.

Yesterday I asked for any suggestions or challenges for photos. I got a few and this morning I tried two of them out. Underwater and children's toys... combined. They were two separate requests, but Meagan suggested combining the two! So, I filled the tub with water, found a cute little rubber ducky, and waterproofed my Droid (aka double bagged it in Ziploc baggies). First I tested a paper towel inside of a zipped bag to see if it would get any bit wet while submerged for 30 minutes. It was dry, so I continued.

To sum it all up in a few sentences. I may have ruined the light I used for yesterdays photo. I thought it was waterproof, turns out it just LOOKS like it is! And on the photo side of things, I'll still be hunting for today's photo as the day goes on. I'll have to figure out a new waterproofing technique for the camera. It didn't focus well through the bags and all the images were a bit hazy. On the bright side, my Droid is dry and survived it's submarine impression.

Android 365: Day Nine

Here's Day Nine. I might get another one up later on, but just in case, this is going to be it.

The weather here has been less than desirable recently, so we haven't ventured outside too much. To put it into perspective, I was wearing shorts and flip flops less than a week ago and we were considering turning the air conditioning on. Yesterday? IT WAS SNOWING!!! Our willow tree had just sprouted a bunch of small leaves for the spring and now I think it's second guessing it's timing.

Alright, any guesses as to exactly what this is a photo of?

Also, I'm up for a challenge. If anyone has any suggestions of possible photos or something that they think can't be taken with a camera phone, let me know and I'll give it my best shot.

Later
