I had a really simple lighting setup put together today to try and get some commercial style photos that had a really good look. I have a glass desk and I put two table lamps underneath it and then taped a piece of paper to the bottom side of the desk to diffuse the light. It was intended for use with my DSLR, but I figured I'd try to see what I could get with my Droid and a flashlight. The flashlight was to provide the fill light, whereas with the DLSR I used a strobe attached to the camera. The results I got with the Droid aren't too bad, I'm actually pretty impressed considering the lighting in the area was pretty dark. I've included one of the photos I took with my DSLR to show the look I was going for. The light beneath the desk was to illuminate the liquid inside the bottle and make it stand out subtly without blasting a light through the bottom of it like I've tried in the past. The result this time is much better I think.
